If you've ever dreamed of acting in a Hollywood movie, now you can with "Yoostar 2: In The Movies," a new game that projects you into famous films and television shows.

The $50 game requires a camera to place you into the 80-odd scenes, so you'll need the Kinect for Xbox 360 accessory or the PlayStation Eye camera for Sony PlayStation 3.

While not a flawless masterpiece, "Yoostar 2" is the acting version of karaoke, and proves to be a fun and funny activity for friends and family.

From classics like " Casablanca ," " The Wizard of Oz " and " The Godfather " to newer hits such as "The Hangover," " Tropic Thunder " and "300," you can choose to be the star or speak to your favorite celebrities on the virtual movie set. In some cases, two people can act in the same scene, such as sitting in the front seat of a car in " The Blues Brothers ."

A few TV shows are included, too, ranging from " Mad Men " to "CSI: Miami," but it's mostly famous movies.

Read the words off the TV screen, which serves as a teleprompter, or choose to ad-lib your lines. Either way, you'll be graded on your performance with a score and star rating, and perhaps given some feedback based on how you delivered the lines.

You can save and watch your handiwork as often as you like. While not required, a hard drive is recommended if you play on Xbox 360 and want to store more performances. PlayStation 3 has a built-in hard drive on all models.

Better yet, you can upload your performance to the Yoostar Playground community (Internet connection for your console is required). Your circle of friends on Facebook , Twitter or www.Yoostar.com can watch, rate, comment and even edit your clips.

The game offers three main ways to play: jump into a Quick Play scene; tackle the lengthier Challenge Mode in which you act your way through 50 challenges in 11 locations; or ad-lib your words and movements on virtual set pieces, such as in " The Matrix ".

While the game is fun, it might not take too long to go through the 80 brief scenes. Gamers who want more can downloadable upgrade packs for a few dollars. A bigger issue, however, is the fact you need a very well lit environment to play the game or you'll see a heavily pixellated silhouette around your body. This might hurt the suspension of disbelief, so make sure you're in a bright room before you play.

Shortcomings notwithstanding, "Yoostar 2: In the Movies" might just be the next great party video game for movie buffs, amateur actors and those looking for a good time with friends.
